Replication

A number of local, national and international organisations around the world have expressed interest in replicating the SCENARIOS process (which itself drew inspiration from CRIPS' 1992-4 project "3,000 Scenarios against a Virus"). With a view to facilitating such initiatives, each step of the process is carefully evaluated and documented, and a detailed SCENARIOS FROM THE SAHEL Replication Guide, commissioned by the United Nations Development Programme, was compiled and published in 1999.

To date, the Guide has been applied in the conceptualisation and execution of several SCENARIOS-style projects, among them projects in the USA (one on drug and alcohol abuse, another on HIV/AIDS and broader adolescent sexual and reproductive health issues), the Netherlands ("Hart tegen Hard" project on school violence in Rotterdam), Senegal (on substance abuse), Albania (on HIV/AIDS) and Nepal (on the environment).
